Child Protection

Welcome to the page designed to help clubs and club CPO’s in their work in this vital area of our sport.

The first thing that I would say is that if you have a problem get in touch with the KAA CPO who can give advice.
If it is really serious and you suspect a child of being harmed and in immediate danger contact either the Police or the NSPCC immediately they will help you.

Always better safe than sorry!

Remember that the policies, although referring in general to Young People also include Vulnerable Adults as well. The definition of a vulnerable adult is:-

vulnerable adult is someone aged 18 or over: Who is, or maybe, in need of community services due to age, illness, or a mental or physical disability. Who is, or maybe, unable to take cae of himself/herself, or unable to protect himself/herself against significant harm or exploitation.

KAA will pay for the online training of any club CPO as part of the KAA support policy. The course is done in small sections online and carries CPD points for those needing them. If you want to look at the course just look up Educare on the web. Then if you are interested in doing the course contact the KAA CPO to get on to it.

Archery GB publishes a lot of material but unfortunately, their website is not the easiest to navigate so I have put in some links for you to get to the latest stuff. If in doubt try using Google with ArcheryGB in the question line!
